A teacher in Texas allegedly sent a video of herself masturbating to a 15-year-old student on Snapchat from her “Momma K” username, court documents show.
Kelsie Rochelle Koepke, 25, of Katy, was fired from Paetow High School after she was accused of sending sexually explicit videos and photos of herself last May after connecting with the teen on the social media platform in October 2017 during the weeks before homecoming, KTRK reports.
The conversations between the teen and Koepke — whose usernames included “kelsie_koepke” and “Momma K” — soon took a sexual turn and she instructed the student “not to save any of their chats,” court documents obtained by the station show.
“Then, on the actual night of the homecoming event, she sent him the first set of nude photos and videos of herself,” documents state.
Koepke then allegedly sent a video of herself masturbating to the teen in May. At least one of the videos she shared with the student clearly showed her face, according to a Katy Independent School District police officer who saw the explicit footage.
When questioned by investigators, Koepke said she had mistaken the teen for someone else she previously met on a dating website. She then continued to send the teen additional images in an attempt to “keep the peace,” court documents indicate.
Koepke acknowledged that she knew the student from school, where she oversaw his lunch period. She also told investigators that she sent the videos and photos in question to a few different people, KPRC reports.
At one point, Koepke approached the student at school and said she regretted her actions, saying, “I can’t believe I did that,” according to court documents. But she continued to send more nude photos and videos of herself, authorities allege.
School officials learned of the alleged relationship from another student who “noticed a conversation on social media regarding inappropriate content” being shared between Koepke and a student, according to a letter sent home to parents by the school’s principal.
